The name "Ohio", originated from the Iroquois tribe and means "great river" or "large creek." gracing Ohio's land. Paddler's can choose amongst 80+ creeks and rivers in Ohio. From the slower meandering flows of the Great Lakes and Till plains, to the younger rivers cutting through the Appalachian Plateau, and an absolute gem or two in the Bluegrass region. All within a days drive, and often entirely removed from the population.
